The Paws and Paint Project

Nurturing Confidence and Creativity

At The Paws and Paint Project, we provide a creative, nurturing, and personalised learning experience for young people who thrive outside the traditional classroom. With specialties in art and Animal Assisted Therapy (AAT), we help learners build confidence, express themselves, and reconnect with education through hands-on creative exploration.

Our Approach

We specialise in providing alternative provision, combining creative arts and Animal Assisted Therapy to support children's emotional wellbeing, build confidence, and encourage personal growth. Our Aims

Empowering Growth

We nurture confidence, creativity, and holistic well-being in children. Each session is tailored to cater to the individual needs of every child, providing a comprehensive approach to their personal and artistic development.

Physical and Mental Wellbeing

Healing Through Art

The aim is to support a child’s physical and mental well-being by removing stressors, offering personalised care, and creating safe, flexible environments. Art and AAT acts as both a therapeutic tool and a learning pathway which helps to regulate emotions, express identity, support physical comfort, and rebuild confidence.

Dedicated Support

Expert Guidance

By offering professional support it provides a more tailored, therapeutic and child-centred education. When linked with art and AAT, this expert support becomes a powerful means of helping children express themselves, regulate emotions, connect to learning, develop confidence, and discover their own voice.

Holistic Learning

Understand your learning potential

Holistic learning is an approach to education that emphasizes the whole person, the mind, body, emotions, creativity, social connection, and even personal meaning, rather than focusing only on memorizing facts or mastering isolated skills.

Creativity and Self-Expression

Building an identity

This alternative provision is built around flexibility, individualisation, and emotional safety, all qualities that create the perfect conditions for creativity and self-expression to grow. This provides a learning experience where children can explore who they are, communicate in their own way, and develop confidence through imaginative expression.
